1. Information collected
When you join a waitlist or contact the team, Himsafar may collect your name, phone number, email address, route or place of interest, service category, organisation, topic and message. The site may also receive basic device, browser, referral, IP and interaction information through hosting, security and optional analytics tools.
The public website does not currently ask you to upload KYC documents, precise live location, payment-card information or government identity documents. Do not send sensitive documents through the contact form.
2. Why the data is used
- Measure route, town and service demand.
- Identify and communicate with prospective local partners.
- Respond to customer, government, investor, press and partnership enquiries.
- Plan pilots, improve content, prevent abuse and maintain website security.
- Send launch-related updates where you have requested or consented to them.
3. Consent and choices
Submitting a form authorises Himsafar to use the information for the stated purpose. You can withdraw from the waitlist, request correction or ask for deletion through the contact page. Withdrawal does not affect processing already required for security, legal or record-keeping purposes.
4. Service providers and sharing
Information may be processed by website hosting, form-delivery, analytics, security and communication providers acting for Himsafar. Data is not sold. It may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a properly managed business restructuring.
5. Cookies and analytics
The site may use essential storage for security and optional analytics tools to understand visits and form conversions. Optional analytics run only when configured. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some functionality may be affected. A more detailed consent interface will be added before non-essential tracking is materially expanded.
6. Retention
Waitlist and enquiry data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for launch planning, communication, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Records that are no longer useful should be deleted or anonymised. Live customer, ride, location and provider-document retention periods will be published before launch.
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet service is risk-free. Himsafar will not request passwords, OTPs, payment credentials or KYC files through ordinary website contact forms.
8. Children
The waitlist is intended for adults capable of giving valid consent. A parent or lawful guardian should submit information for a child where applicable. Services involving children will receive category-specific safeguards before launch.
9. Your rights and grievance
Subject to applicable Indian law, you may request access to a summary of your data, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent or grievance handling. Use the contact page, select customer support or privacy, and include the phone or email used in the original submission so the request can be matched safely.
10. Future product data
Live rides may later involve authentication, device registration, route coordinates, driver location, trip records and safety contacts. Local partner onboarding may involve identity, permits and KYC documents. Those features will not go live until appropriate notices, access controls, retention rules and role-specific terms are published.
